The Chicago Cubs have signed a two-year player development deal with the AA Tennessee Smokies, who ended their affiliation with the Arizona Diamondbacks. The deal will allow the Smokies to showcase talent for one of major league baseball’s most recognized franchises, according to Smokies general manager Brian Cox.
